Summer 2023 Camps

Board Games and Puzzles $145

Monday–Friday, June 26–30, from 9:00 a.m.–noon
Instructor: Stephenie Schroth

Do you enjoy playing board games and solving puzzles? If so, you will want to sign up for this camp! In this camp, we will play a variety of board games and solve different types of puzzles. This camp focuses on game playing and strategy and creating your own game to play with others.

Excavating Egypt $145

Monday–Friday, June 26–30, from 1:00–4:00 p.m.
Instructor: Veronica Berry

Explore ancient Egypt by creating your own mummified apple, learning what the ancient Egyptians wore, and designing your own headdress and mummy coffin. You'll learn how to read ancient Egyptian writing, create your own canopic jars and papyrus paper, and solve your own excavation mystery. Egypt is waiting to be explored by you.

Scratch Gaming and Programming $145

Monday–Friday, July 10–14, from 9:00 a.m.–noon
Instructor: Stephenie Schroth

Are you interested in gaming and programming? If you said yes, then you are going to love this camp! Using the program language Scratch, you will create and program your own animations, games, and interactive stories. You will learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively, which are all essential skills in today’s world.

Titanic Tour $145

Monday–Friday, July 10–14, from 1:00–4:00 p.m.
Instructor: Veronica Berry

Have you ever wondered what it was like to be aboard the Titanic? Well, now is your chance to explore the Titanic, how it was made, the passengers who rode on it, the science behind its sinking, and so much more. This is a class that takes an in-depth look into the Titanic that you will not forget. Step on board with us today.

STEM Challenges and Experiments $145

Monday–Friday, July 17–21, from 9:00 a.m.–noon
Instructor: Stephenie Schroth

Do fun challenges and experiments come to mind when you think about summer camp? We hope so! STEM camp offers you exciting and innovative ways to get hands-on experience with important Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematical concepts and projects.

Escape Room $145

Monday–Friday, July 17–21, from 1:00–4:00 p.m.
Instructor: Jessica Seidel

Create challenges for campers to complete puzzles and problems solve to "escape the room."

Create an Online Escape Room $145

Monday–Friday, July 24–28, from 9:00 a.m.–noon
Instructor: Stephenie Schroth

Do you like escape rooms? If you said yes, then you are going to love this camp! Using Google applications, you will create virtual escape rooms where you can gather clues, solve puzzles, and escape before time runs out! You will learn creative problem-solving skills and team-building skills.

Recycled Art $145

Monday–Friday, July 24–28, from 9:00 a.m.–noon
Instructor: Jessica Seidel

Create art projects using recycled materials. Examples are making murals/pictures using plastic bottle caps, seed bombs using old newspapers/tissue paper, and using magazines to create beaded necklaces, etc.

Civil War $145

Monday-Friday, July 24–28, from 1:00–4:00 p.m.
Instructor: Veronica Berry

Do you love history? Have you always wondered what it would be like to be a soldier in the Civil War? Now is your chance to find out. Enlist in this Civil War class today and become a soldier from the 1860s. You will step into the life of a soldier by learning how they lived, fought, and if they survived or not. You will make toys, food, and other items from the Civil War era, as well as participate in your own mock Civil War battle. Enlist today!

Slime & Polymers Camp $145

Monday–Friday, July 31–August 4, from 9:00 a.m.–noon
Instructor: Laura Oswald

Warning: you MUST love slime to join this camp! Join us if you would like to experiment and create with endless slime possibilities. We will create magnetic slime, edible slime, and even slime that erupts—just to name a few. Everyone agrees that playing with slime is fun, but what exactly is slime? We will also take time to investigate its different properties as we make slimes from scratch, use slimes to conduct experiments, and even incorporate them into unique projects.

Viking Vacation $145

Monday–Friday, July 31–August 4, from 1:00–4:00 p.m.
Instructor: Veronica Berry

Enter a world where both men and women are warriors. Explore ancient Viking myths and lore. Create your own Viking clothing, shield, and ax. Live the warrior life you have always dreamed about, all while learning about the true history of the Vikings. This is a vacation you will not want to miss.
