Hundreds of students take advantage of experiential learning opportunities each year through Penn State. One such program is a trip to Nicaragua through Outreach 360.
Rachel Fowkes had no intention of attending any college other than Penn State. In fact, it was the only college that she applied to. "It's all I knew and all I ever wanted, it was my dream school." Her acceptance made her the fifth person in her family to attend not only Penn State, but Penn State Altoona.
Move-In Day 2016 was fantastic! Faculty, staff, student Orientation Leaders, and students from various clubs and organizations were on hand to help first-year students unload and settle into their rooms.
Penn State Altoona held its spring semester Business, Engineering, and Information Sciences and Technology Student Showcase event Friday, April 29, 2016, in which students from various disciplines showcased their work through presentations to the college and local businesses. The event is an opportunity for the Blair County business community to see firsthand the work and talent of students while allowing them to build their communication and networking skills.
