The exhibition "At Daybreak" by Ivyside Juried Art Exhibition winner Julie Ann Nagle will run Jan. 10 to March 9 in the McLanahan Gallery of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts at Penn State Altoona
A $39,000 gift from Lockheed Martin will support Penn State Altoona’s undergraduate project “Evaluation of Additively Manufactured Non-Toxic Liquid Bipropellant Injectors.” The project will provide electro-mechanical engineering technology students with hands-on experience in the design and fabrication of liquid bipropellant rocket injectors using both conventionally machined and additively manufactured methods.
The exhibition "M. Alexander Gray - Relief and Intaglio Prints" by Ivyside Juried Art Exhibition winner M. Alexander Gray will run Jan. 10 to March 9 in the Sheetz Gallery of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts at Penn State Altoona.
Todd Davis's new book of poetry, "Native Species," was published by Michigan State University Press. The book, Davis's sixth, is praised by Ross Gay, winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award, as one that “looks with patience, ardor, and often heartbreak at his beloved landscapes.”
The nine-day trip begins May 8, 2019. Students will visit places such as the Santa Elena Cloud Forest, Póas Volcano, Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, Arenal Hot Springs, and a coffee plantation while earning credit for Spanish 297 or Agriculture 297.
