Stories of Hope, directed by Naomi H. Baker, premiered virtually on Thursday, Dec. 3. A shortened version of the production is available to view online.
Stories of Hope is a collaborative project between Penn State Altoona’s Ivyside Pride choral group, Ivyside Dance Ensemble, and the theatre program featuring the poetry of Todd Davis, Erin Murphy, Lee Peterson, and Patricia Jabbeh Wesley, all faculty at the college.
The project was devised by integrative arts faculty as they strategized on how to provide performance opportunities safely to students and the community during the current pandemic. In their discussion, they realized that “hope” is needed as we all struggle to make our way through the crisis.
“We believe the audience will be uplifted through the experience of viewing the project. It is a collage of hope for an uncertain time in our world,” stated Baker.
