International Student Support Program to launch Sep. 1

Penn State Altoona is pleased to offer a new service for international students. The International Student Support Program (ISSP) is free to use and offers online resources and International Student Support Advisors that can help students succeed while studying in the United States.

Students can connect with an International Student Advisor who speaks the same language, understands the culture, and can help address the unique challenges international students face when studying in another country. The service will be available September 1, 2017.

The program is accessible anywhere anytime. The My SSP app (available on Apple and Android devices) allows students to call or chat with an advisor and access tools. The My SSP website allows students to chat with an advisor, access articles, tools, resources, and more. Students can also call 1-866-743-7732 to speak to an advisor over the phone, available 24/7. If calling from outside of North America, call 001.416.380.6578.

The ISSP program is confidential within the limits of the law.
