With wins over Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponents Pitt-Greensburg, Hilbert, and Franciscan, the Lions are off to their first 3-0 start to conference play in team history. Additionally, senior guard Javon Wilson (Washington, D.C./T.C. Williams) was named the AMCC Player of the Week on Dec. 5 after averaging 21.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 4.5 steals per game during the previous week.

Penn State Behrend 137, Penn State Altoona 63

Penn State Altoona 95, Cabrini University 90

Freshman Allen Shmurak (Newtown, Pennsylvania/Council Rock North) recorded two individual first-place finishes in the Lions’ win over Cabrini on Friday, Dec. 2. He won the 50 Yard Freestyle by clocking in at 23.10, and he later took first in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 50.82.

Senior guard Brittany Boslet (Altoona, Pennsylvania/Bishop Guilfoyle) is tied for the lead in points per game on her team, averaging 15.0 points per contest, to go along with a team-best 17 3-pointers made.

Sophomore Eva Gerhart (Pottstown, Pennsylvania/Owen J. Roberts) recorded two individual first places in the Lady Lions’ loss to Cabrini on Friday, Dec. 2. She came in first in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:13.67, and she later prevailed in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:21.87.
