Steven A. Adler Athletic Complex

The Steven A. Adler Athletic Complex serves as the featured hub for student activity at Penn State Altoona. The Adler Athletic Complex is home to 16 intercollegiate varsity athletic programs, the offices for athletic department staff and coaches, the Kinesiology Department, the Recreation Department and the Army R.O.T.C. The Adler Athletic Complex contains a large gymnasium, an indoor swimming pool, racquetball courts, a multi-purpose room, a weight room, fitness loft, showers, and locker rooms.

Adler was constructed in two phases during the 1970s. The first phase, which included the gymnasium and lobby area, was completed in 1972. The second phase included a swimming pool, facilities for physical education classes, an area for conferences, demonstrations and exhibits, racquetball courts, equipment rooms, men's and women's locker facilities, a training room, and faculty offices. It was completed in 1977.
