Nittany AI Challenge offers $100,000 in funding

Penn State students, faculty and staff are invited to compete for $100,000 in funding during the Nittany AI Challenge. The challenge, sponsored by the Penn State EdTech Network, will give participating teams the opportunity to explore artificial intelligence in higher education to improve the student experience at Penn State, solve real-world problems at the University, and generate startup ideas. The deadline for idea submissions is Jan. 29.

Student Engagement Expo highlights unique extracurricular opportunities

Student engagement is like undertaking a mythic journey. As 2016-17 Penn State Laureate and Professor of Theatre Susan Russell said, “it begins with finding your why — your target penetrating four years of undergraduate study.” Russell was the keynote speaker during the 2017 Student Engagement Expo on Nov. 6, addressing an audience of more than 250 individuals eager to make their mark on the University and global community.
