Email #5: Tip Sheets: What to Bring/Questions for Landlords

Dear New Student,

This is the fifth in a series of emails being sent to you from the Office of Student Affairs at Penn State Altoona.

Are you living off campus?  If so, you will find a list of questions to ask your landlord. Have you made a list of items you plan on bringing with you to college? Whether you are planning to live on campus or off campus please review our suggested list of items.

Please note that as part of our International Student Orientation schedule, we will be offering a trip to the local Wal-Mart and/or Target stores for students to shop and purchase items as needed.

Remember:

  • You may ride all Amtran busing in Blair County free of charge by showing your Penn State Altoona identification card.
  • YOU SHOULD ATTEND ALL NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION and WELCOME WEEK PROGRAMMING. There will be valuable information covered for you in these programs.

If you are still searching for housing:

On-Campus contact: Alison Bonsell; aer4@psu.edu; 814-949-5408; altoonacampusliving.psu.edu

Off-Campus information: altoonastudenthousing.com

PLEASE REMEMBER TO PROVIDE YOUR HOUSING INFORMATION TO SEAN KELLY (sck1@psu.edu) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Questions? If so, please contact Sean Kelly (sck1@psu.edu) in the Office of Student Affairs at Penn State Altoona.

Please check your email on a regular basis for information. This is critical as email is our main communication mode.

Our next email communication will be about the Office of Information Technology.

We look forward to working with you as you transition to Penn State Altoona.

Sincerely,

Sean Kelly
